The definition of science according to Sardar (1987, 161) is a means of solving the fundamental problem of every civilization. Without science, information Sardar (1987, 161) a civilization can not sustain the political structures and social or meet the basic needs of the people and culture. As an external manifestation of an epistemology, science form the physical environment, intellectual and cultural as well as promote the economical production method chosen by a civilization. In short, science, clearly Sardar (1987, 161) is a tool that ultimately scored a civilization, he is a physical expression of his world view. While engineering, according to Djoyohadikusumo (1994, 222) concerning the terms of objective knowledge (about space, matter, energy) that is applied in the field of design (including the technical equipment). In other words, the technology includes the techniques and equipment to carry out the design based on results of science.
Often held separation, even a contradiction between science and fundamental scientific research (basic science and fundamental) on the one hand and on the other side of applied science and applied research (applied science and applied research). However, one other fact must be viewed as two complementary pathways that complement each other, even as the vessel related; can be differentiated, but should not be separated from each other (Djoyohadikusumo 1994, 223).
Meaning of Technology, by Capra (2004 and 106) as meaning 'science', has undergone change throughout history. Technology, comes from the Greek literature, namely technologia, obtained from the origin of the word techne, meaning art discourse. When the term was first used in English in the seventeenth century, its meaning is a systematic discussion on the 'applied arts' or carpentry, and gradually meaning refers to the guild itself. In the 20th century, its meaning expanded to include not only the tools and machines, but also methods and techniques of non-material. Which means a systematic application of the techniques and methods. Now most of the definitions of technology, advanced Capra (2004 107) emphasized its relationship with science. Sociologist Manuel Castells as quoted by Capra (2004, 107) defines technology as' a collection of tools, rules and procedures as the application of scientific knowledge on a particular job in a way that allows repetition.
However, described by Capra (107) technology is much older than science. Its origins in tool-making was far away in the early human species, that is when the language, reflective consciousness and the ability to make tools evolved simultaneously. Accordingly, the first human species called Homo habilis (handy man) to demonstrate his ability to make advanced tools.
From such a view, then developing the technology further than that understood as a composition of knowledge to achieve practical goals, or as something that is created or implemented as well as methods for making or implementing it. The two terms above have been replaced by technology as the controlling interpretation of such an environment in which political power has been the rise of Western technology to conquer the world and are now used in the era of new, more violent world. To clarify these statements, we try to examine the technology deeper. Looking at technology in a more comprehensive substance, namely the conception of the framework of philosophy of technology.

Technology is a defining characteristic of human nature which is part of history covering the whole of history. Technology, according to Djoyohadikusumo (1994, 222) is closely related to science (science) and engineering (engineering). In other words, technological contain two dimensions, namely science and engineering are related to each other. Science based on our understanding of the real world around us, it means about the basic features on the dimensions of space, of matter and energy in their interactions to each other.
From the perspective of history, as described by Toynbee (2004, 35) technology is one special characteristic of the glory of man that he does not live by food alone. Technology is a light that illuminates some non-material side of human life. Technology, continued Toynbee (2004, 34) is a condition that allows non-material constituents of human life, the feelings and thoughts, institution, idea and ideal. Technology is a direct manifestation of human intelligence evidence.
